Testing Services

Testing & Disability Services administers a wide range of standardized, academic, and professional examinations. Candidates should check specific exam guidelines for updated testing dates, fees, and registration requirements. Review the Frequently Asked Questions section for additional guidance prior to your test date.

Hours of Operation & Contact

Testing hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For questions regarding exam scheduling, accommodations, or test day procedures, contact the office by phone at (706) 737-1469 or via email at tds@augusta.edu.

Payment & Registration Guidelines

All test registration payments must be completed prior to 4:30 p.m. Depending on the specific exam, institutional fees due upon registration may apply.

Accepted payment methods include cash, money order, personal check, and credit or debit cards. Payments over the phone are not accepted.

Important Test Day Information

A valid, official photo ID is required for all exams.

Please note that this office no longer offers proctoring services for non-disability students who need to take make-up exams.

Parking & Transportation

Visitors may park using AMP Pay-to-Park for a $4.00 daily rate or use the free parking available in Lot 122 located near Fanning Hall. Daily payment grants access across all Summerville Campus parking lots. To register and pay, access the AMP parking portal, search for Augusta University, and select the Summerville Campus.

Vehicles must display visible license plates from the drive lane, as backing into or pulling through parking spaces is prohibited. Payment must be secured to avoid receiving a parking ticket, as Testing & Disability Services is not responsible for parking citations. For parking inquiries, contact Parking & Transportation at (706) 721-PARK (7275) or parkingoffice@augusta.edu.

When should I register for my exam?

Registration deadlines vary per exam. It’s always best to check the website for the exam for which you’re registering to get more information.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash, money order, credit/credit, and check.

When will I receive my testing scores?

Some exams will allow you to see your scores immediately upon completion of the exam. Other exams require for you to wait until the testing company sends an official score report.

How will my program of study be notified of my scores?

Each testing company will send your score transcript to your designated recipient. You may have to pay an extra fee to the testing company if you have not designated a score recipient prior to completing your exam.

Where do I park when I arrive for my exam?

  • AMP Pay-to-Park – $4.00 daily rate; Free Parking available in Lot 122 by Fanning Hall
  • Use the provided parking link ; Search for Augusta University and select Summerville Campus to complete registration and payment
  • Make sure to pay for parking or you could encounter a ticket. TDS will not be responsible for parking tickets. 

What do I need to bring with me when I arrive for testing?

Photo Identification is required for each exam and some exams require for you to bring an admission ticket. Review the testing companies’ policies to see which forms of ID are accepted and if an admission ticket is required.

 How should I prepare for my exam?

  • Review study guides and prep materials that have been recommended by the testing company for the exam you are taking.
  • Plan to arrive early to get settled ahead of your scheduled exam.
  • Read all test instructions and candidate rules thoroughly.
  • Be well rested and eat a snack or meal prior to arriving for your testing appointment.

What happens if I fail my exam?

Retest policies vary per testing company. Please check with the testing company for which you are taking the exam to see what their retest policy is. We are just the testing site and can’t overrule any policies and procedures the testing company may have in place.

What happens if the test center closes?

Depending on the exam, you will receive notification via phone or email with information on how to reschedule your exam from the testing company or directly from a Testing and Disability Services staff member.

How do I request to receive testing accommodations?

Please contact the testing company for which you are taking the exam to see what their policies and procedures for test-takers who need accommodations.

If I register for and pay for a test to only realize afterward that I do not need to take it, can I get a refund?

All exam fees are non-transferable/non-refundable. Under extreme circumstances, submit a written request to the Director of TDS and they'll make a decision at their own discretion.
