Tailored for occupational therapy students in the MHS program, the Jamaica Study Abroad program offers the chance to join a prestigious program delivering therapeutic services to residents of Mustard Seed Communities in Jamaica. Students will gain hands-on experience while immersing themselves in Jamaican culture and health services. Set against the backdrop of beautiful beaches, this opportunity also fulfills a Level 1 Fieldwork requirement.

Program eligibility: Must be enrolled in Occupational Therapy program (not open to undergraduate students).

Day One

Depart for Jamaica

09

March

Day Two

Breakfast and tour of property, mass with residents, travel to Jerusalem after lunch, return to Jacob’s Ladder to interact with more residents

10 - 12

March

Days Three - Five

Go to Jerusalem, assist with residents’ morning activities, attend community outings, assist residents with lunch, evening activities with Jacobs Ladder residents

March

Day Six

Depart for Ocho Rios Beach or Dunns River Falls, dinner at Margaritaville, return to Jacobs Ladder.

Day Seven

Return to Georgia
