Earn course credit while diving headfirst into the magic of Greece, a land of ancient legends, sparkling seas, and sun-drenched cities. Imagine strolling through the same streets once walked by Socrates in Athens, standing in awe before the ancient wonders of Delphi, enjoying the coastal beauty of Nafplion, and diving deep into the history of Corinth and Mycenae. This program brings learning to life through engaging lectures, meaningful discussions, and unforgettable cultural excursions. This program is not just a class; it’s a journey through history, culture, and self-discovery!

AprilUpon arrival at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, students will travel to the historic heart of Athens. After hotel check-in, a guided walking tour of the Plaka and Syntagma districts introduces some of Athens’ most iconic landmarks by night. The day concludes with a welcome dinner at a traditional tavern, offering a variety of classic Greek dishes served family-style. Overnight in Athens.

AprilStudents will spend the day exploring Athens on foot, beginning with a guided visit to the Acropolis and its renowned Parthenon temple. The tour continues at the Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Agora, including a stop at the historic Kerameikos cemetery. The day wraps up in the Monastiraki district, where students can sample traditional street foods like gyros or souvlaki. Evening is free. Overnight in Athens.

AprilBefore leaving Athens, the group will visit the National Archaeological Museum to see ancient masterpieces. The journey continues to Delphi, once considered the center of the ancient world. Students will tour the Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the stadium before heading to the nearby mountain village of Arahova for the night. Arahova offers stunning views, local delicacies, and the option to try traditional Greek dancing. Overnight in Arahova.

AprilThe day begins with a visit to the Corinth Canal and ancient Corinth, where students will reflect on St. Paul’s letters at the Bema. The group then heads to nearby Nemea for a wine tasting and lecture on Greek viticulture. The day ends in Nafplio, a charming coastal town that will serve as the home base for the next few days. Overnight in Nafplio.

AprilStudents will explore Nafplio through a guided walking lecture and have the option to swim, climb to the Palamidi Castle, or stroll the historic streets. With its blend of Byzantine, Venetian, Ottoman, and neoclassical architecture, the town offers insight into Greece’s layered past. The group will gather in the evening for a group dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Nafplio.

AprilFrom Nafplio, students will visit the Bronze Age ruins of Mycenae and the world-renowned theater of Epidaurus. At Mycenae, they’ll explore the archaeological site and museum that reveal the civilization’s wealth and power. At Epidaurus, the exceptional acoustics of the ancient theater offer a glimpse into classical performance art. Evening is free. Overnight in Nafplio.

AprilA brief stop in Sparta allows for a photo with the statue of Leonidas, followed by a self-paced exploration of the Byzantine ruins of Mystras. Later, students will visit the mountain village of Karyes—birthplace of the famous Caryatids—for a traditional lunch, local stories, and fresh loukoumades in the main square. Overnight in Sparta.

AprilStudents will journey to the medieval fortress town of Monemvasia, located on a small island off the Peloponnesian coast. The afternoon includes opportunities for swimming, hiking to the lighthouse, or exploring the cobblestone streets. A visit to poet Yiannis Ritsos’ home adds a literary touch, followed by dinner inside the castle walls. Overnight in Monemvasia.

AprilThe group returns to Athens for their final evening in Greece. Students will have free time for last-minute shopping or exploration before a farewell dinner with views of the Acropolis illuminated against the night sky. Overnight in Athens.

AprilStudents will transfer to the airport for their flight home, concluding a once-in-a-lifetime academic and cultural journey through Greece.
