Richmond County Explorer Post 121 is a joint venture between the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, Augusta University Police Department, the Richmond County Board of Education Police Department and exploring.org. The purpose of Post 121 is to provide a program of training that educates young adults in the field of law enforcement. Explorer Post 121 will provide an opportunity for service, practical experiences, competition and recreation to the youth of Richmond County. Our goal is to prepare Explorers to become better citizens and community members through character development, physical fitness and good citizenship. Post 121 will meet every other Wednesday at the Augusta University Police Department.

Mission Statement

To educate and involve youth in police operations, build interest in law enforcement careers, build mutual understanding, educate Explorers of the law enforcement function in our community, and provide awareness of the complexities of police service, through involvement, education and teamwork.
