The Army Military Science Scholarship program awards full-time, eligible cadets with
four different scholarships on a competitive basis. Cadets entering the Advanced Course
need to make a commitment to serve in either the active Army, Reserves, or National
Guard. Normally this commitment is made by the choice of scholarships taken. Alternatively,
cadets may delay their decision to serve the military through the non-scholarship program, where they will get a stipend instead.
I want to thank the Sexton Family for their special gift honoring Captain Kenneth
A. Sexton, and the AU ROTC Cadre for selecting me to receive this scholarship.
The program has presented me with the opportunity to develop as a future Army doctor.
