What is Curriculog?
Curriculog is an online interface that allows users to propose, create, assess, revise, approve, and implement courses and programs.
Note: Curriculog has changed its name to Modern Campus Curriculum. Updates to instructional help text on the software product will be ongoing. Additionally, the URL for our Curriculog site will not be updated to match the product name until 2025. Over the next year, we will also be gradually updating our resource materials and instructions to reflect this name change.
What is the deadline to submit new proposals?
The Augusta University Catalog is published online every July 1 for the upcoming academic year that begins with the fall semester. Proposals must reach the Associate Vice President for Curriculum & Instructional Innovation step for approval by October 1 to be included in the next published Catalog. Therefore, we recommend course and program proposals be launched no later than June 30 in an effort to meet this deadline; however, proposals will still progress through the system after this date.
For example: A course revision proposal is launched in Curriculog by June 30, 2025. The AVP for Curriculum & Instructional Innovation approves the proposal by October 1, 2025. The revisions to the course are then made in Banner for Fall 2026 registration, and the revisions are included in the 2026-2027 Catalog.
Who can request access to Curriculog?
Any faculty or staff that needs to submit new or revise courses or programs can request access to Curriculog.
How can I gain access to Curriculog?
To request access, complete the Curriculog Access Request form and follow the instructions on the form.
Who should I contact for assistance with Curriculog?
Email the Registrar’s Office at curriculog@augusta.edu.
What types of proposals are accepted in Curriculog?
See the Curriculog Proposal Forms webpage.
How do I submit a proposal?
Links to Instruction Guides are provided on the Curriculog Proposal Forms webpage.
How long does it take for a proposal to be completed?
Several factors contribute to the length of time it takes a proposal to be completely processed, including – but not limited to – the type of proposal, how many steps are included in the workflow of a particular proposal, the timeliness of the proposal reviewers and approvers, and accuracy of the proposal. That’s why it’s a best practice to submit proposals as soon as possible. We recommend planning far ahead.
What do some of the terms used in Curriculog mean?
See the Curriculog Terminology document.
What is an Impact Report and how do I generate one in the system?
An Impact Report is required for all Course Revision and Course Inactivation proposals. It is used to determine which courses or programs (if any) will be impacted by a potential course revision or inactivation. See the Creating an Impact Report instruction guide for help.
PLEASE NOTE: Attaching an Impact Report is required for all Course Revision and Course Inactivation proposals even if the Impact Report returns zero results because there is no impact resulting from your change.
Why am I receiving notifications and how can I manage them?
Email notifications are automatically generated to the proposal Originator, as well as Reviewers and Approvers in the proposal workflow. If you are receiving notifications, please log in to Curriculog and check your “My Task” tab for any proposals that require your attention.
To update the frequency of your notifications, see the Updating Email Preferences instruction guide.
Why am I receiving the error message “proposal needs participants” when I try to launch?
If you are receiving this error, please review the “Proposal Routing Information” section at the top of your proposal. First, check the “Academic College/School and Department” field. The system inserts individuals into the workflow based on the answers selected here.
For example, if you select yes to the question about having a Department Chair, you must be sure a department is selected in the “Academic College/School and Department” field.
If you select yes to the question about having a Program Director, you also need to select the Program name in that field to properly include the Program Director in the workflow (e.g., select "Public Administration" in addition to "Department of Social Sciences" and "College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences").
If you are still receiving an error, please contact curriculog@augusta.edu for troubleshooting assistance before launching the proposal.
What are the responsibilities of Curriculog Approvers?
See the Roles and Responsibilities document. Reviewers and Approvers must approve or reject proposals in which they appear in the approval process workflow. The Making Decisions on Proposals guide is available with step-by-step instructions.
How long are proposals saved within Curriculog?
All submitted and approved Curriculog proposals are saved indefinitely within Curriculog for historical purposes. Use the Searching Proposals guide to locate specific proposals.
How do I find a specific proposal within Curriculog?
Use the Searching Proposals instruction guide. If you still cannot locate the proposal, email the Registrar’s Office for help at curriculog@augusta.edu.
