AU Capitol Day successful experience for students

"Each conversation reinforced my passion for government and public service," says Ilene Modaresi, representing Augusta University student athletes at Capitol Day.

"The students' creative work on display at the exhibit is a reflection of the talents of our students and the dedicated mentoring of faculty in the Department of Art & Design," says Dustin Avent-Holt, PhD.

James Njuguna and Maddie Edwards were crowned AU's 2026 Homecoming King and Queen, while Bryson Walker and Caroline Swift earned the titles of Duke and Duchess.

The Fit for the Future event allowed students to peruse donated professional clothing and allow them to select a shirt or blouse, pants, shoes, socks, belt and a jacket free of charge.
