Psychology Clubs

The Psychology Club and Psi Chi Honor Society at Augusta University work closely together to create a unified and inclusive community for all students interested in psychology. While the Psychology Club is open to any student regardless of major or academic standing, Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology that offers additional professional and academic opportunities for eligible members. Together, these organizations host shared meetings, events, and student involvement opportunities designed to support learning, connection, and career development within the field of psychology.

Mission Statement

The Psychology Club is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive community for students interested in psychology. Our mission is to encourage academic, professional, and personal growth by promoting discussion of psychological topics, connecting students with university activities and resources, supporting mental health awareness, and providing opportunities for networking. We strive to promote respectful dialogue and engagement with psychology both inside and outside the classroom.

Psi Chi International Honor Society

Recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology

 

Mission Statement

The mission of Psi Chi at Augusta University is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship while advancing the science of psychology. We are committed to supporting students’ academic and professional growth, promoting a supportive community, local outreach fundraising, and fostering curiosity about human behavior. Through inclusive events, mentorship, and engagement with research and applied psychology, our chapter aims to empower students for a future of contributing meaningfully to the field of psychology and to their communities.

 

Membership requirements

  • *All students are welcome to attend events and general meetings; however, you must be a formal Psi Chi member for scholarships, Psi Chi conferences, and other member benefits*

Undergraduate Students:

  • Be enrolled for a major, minor, or conferred credential in a psychology program or a program psychological in nature
  • Have completed at least 3 semesters or equivalent of full-time college coursework and at least 9 semester credit hours or equivalent of psychology courses
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Graduate Students:

  • Be enrolled in a psychology or closely related graduate program
  • Have completed at least 9 semester credit hours of graduate psychology courses in that program
  • Overall GPA of at least 3.3 in all graduate courses
  • Pay the Psi Chi Society membership + chapter fee. Please contact the Psi Chi faculty advisor chapter for more information.
