Freshman Convocation is the bookend to Senior Graduation. It is the ceremony that welcomes YOU, the Class of 2028, to the Augusta University Family.
At this event, you will receive your official Class Pin and take your Class Photo with over 1,000 of your new classmates. After the ceremony, you are invited to have brunch with your future professors and campus professionals while exploring the many academic and social opportunities at AU.
After Brunch, feel free to “take care of business”, planning for Wednesday, August 14th - the official start of college. Visit the ROAR Store, Financial Aid and FIND YOUR CLASSES! Student leaders (who know the secrets of how to college) will be there to help you every step of the way.

a.m.A DJ will provide live entertainment as you wait for the event to begin.

a.m.The event begins by the ringing of the Arsenal Bell – something you won’t experience again until Graduation!
Our AU President, Provost, and SGA President will welcome you to the AU Family.
You will receive your Class Pin (to be worn at Graduation) and take the Class of 2028 Photo before heading to Brunch.

a.m.Enjoy brunch while exploring the Undergraduate Colleges under the tents in the Grove.
Check out the variety of Academic and Social Activities available to you and make a plan to get involved!
11:30
a.m.Visit your Classrooms, the ROAR Store, Financial Aid or the Business Office. Be ready to begin your first day of college!
Staff and Students will be available to assist you.
