Let's discover how we can work together
Community partnerships make Georgia a better place to live. We are proud to facilitate partnerships between AU faculty, staff, students, and the community. These partnerships take many forms, from individual projects to full-scale initiatives with many moving parts and pieces.
Whatever form they take, they help us to satisfy our mission and improve the quality of life locally and across Georgia.
Whether you're looking for a full-time employee, part-time students, or even interns, we can help. When you partner with our career services department, you get access to the entire network of AU students and alumni.
Community service is an integral part of an Augusta University education, so if your organization is looking for volunteers, we can help. The Office of Community Engagement will support you in finding potential volunteers. Contact us at community@augusta.edu.
If you're considering a community-engaged research project, we want to work with you. We can help you find like-minded AU researchers to work with, connect with community partners, identify volunteers, and secure funding.
Get Involved
Collaboration with community partners is central to Augusta University’s mission and vision. This is why AU is committed to building mutually beneficial, reciprocal, long-term relationships with our partner organizations. We take pride in connecting campus with community.
AU community partners are able to connect with AU students, faculty, and staff on JAGPULSE, our online community engagement platform. JAGPULSE (powered by GivePulse) allows AU team members to find volunteer opportunities, and track and manage their community service. Community partner organizations (also called affiliates in JAGPULSE) have their own page on the site and can post volunteer and service-learning opportunities visible to all AU students, faculty, and staff. Development
Public health solutions. Economic development. A quality education. A thriving arts scene. A healthy environment. These are all elements that contribute to a strong community and are issues we tackle through community partnerships.
We understand that the arts are the soul of the work that we do at Augusta University and through the arts we are able to connect and nourish the creative hunger of our community.
Student Success
Augusta University is dedicated to working with community partners to foster k-12 student success and make sure everyone in our community has access to the education opportunities they deserve. We are involved on every level. Our campus hosts yearly academic events, offers classes to students in the community, and works with our neighborhood schools to increase opportunity for everyone.
The Junior Model United Nations program at Augusta University introduces middle school students to global challenges and allows them to learn about the culture and politics of another State. Much like the college program, JMUN participants assume the perspective of a diplomat from a UN Member State and represent their position in a day-long simulation at Augusta University. Students are able to choose their State and conduct research prior to the conference in order to debate, negotiate, and work towards a realistic solution.
Healthcare Mission
We believe that a healthy community is a growing community. That’s why our healthcare mission expands not just across our campus, but across our state and beyond.
