General Gynecology & Obstetrics

woman facing and speaking with female doctorGeneral Obstetrics and Gynecology provides a full range of general obstetrical and gynecological services ranging from outpatient care to surgery and from routine visits to complicated consultations.

Caring for women from adolescence through the postmenopausal years, the General Obstetrics and Gynecology section offers a wide range of Women's Health Services in an active private office setting. In addition to standard gynecologic and low-risk obstetric care, each of our six full-time faculty physicians provides services in areas of special interest and expertise.

Our board-certified physicians are able to monitor your health, accurately diagnose any problems that may arise, and offer advanced solutions for medical conditions, such as heavy menstrual bleeding, uterine polyps and fibroids, premenstrual syndrome, and other common problems.

General Obstetrics and Gynecology services include:

  • Pap tests and PapSure, to identify early abnormalities Pap smears may miss
  •  Clinical breast exams, mammography, and a full breast health program
  •  Screening for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  •  Endometrial ablation, an outpatient procedure to end heavy, painful periods
  •  A Perimenopause and Menopause program
  •  Evaluation of chronic pelvic pain
  •  Family planning
  • First trimester ultrasonography
  •  Pediatric and adolescent gynecology
  •  Genetic counseling and testing
  •  Easy access to advanced diagnostics, including pelvic ultrasound and hysteroscopy
  •  Operative hysteroscopy, a minimally invasive outpatient procedure for uterine problems
  •  Easy referrals to gynecologic oncologists

In addition to normal obstetrical and gynecological services, our specialized research and interest areas include:

  •  Urodynamics
  •  Dysmenorrhea
  •  Menorrhagia
  •  Pelvic pain
  •  Menopause

We participate in most insurance programs and welcome referrals.
