Carolyn was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She lived there with her parents, twin sister and older brother until moving to Gainesville, Florida in 2006 to attend the University of Florida. Carolyn graduated suma cum laude with a major in Chemistry and minors in Mathematics and Science. She continued her education at the University of Florida for medical school, which she graduated from in 2014. She then moved with her husband to Augusta and completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She went on to become a NAMS certified menopause practitioner in 2019. She currently lives in Augusta with her husband and her two children. She is interested in abnormal uterine bleeding, PCOS, menopausal medicine, breastfeeding medicine and general obstetrics. She is also the Clerkship Director for the Ob/Gyn medical student clerkship. She began seeing patients as an MCG faculty in July 2018.
