December – The Saito lab was awarded an Ines Mandl Research Foundation grant to study the interplay between elastic fibers and smooth muscle cells during vascular
development. – Dr. Saito was selected as an Early Career Board Member at the Journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease. |
| November - Dr. Saito was appointed to the Early Career Board Member position in Vascular Pharmacology |
| October - Our study titled "Sphingosine kinase 1 is integral for elastin deficiency-induced
arterial hypermusculariztion" was accepted for publication in Nature Cardiovascular Research. |
