We Are Hiring!

We are always looking for students who exhibit professionalism in and out of the classroom. A candidate who desires to help their peers succeed through academic support services. Tutors should be knowledgeable in the subject area for which they are applying, and have strong communication skills.

One of the hallmarks of successful tutoring programs is a well-trained staff.

  • Our Peer educators are enrolled in the ASII-1201 class. The training course for peer educators covers more topics and include more contact hours than alternate training formats.
  • Returning tutors observe the student tutors' sessions and each of the new tutors observes three other tutors' sessions.
  • Faculty who refer students to become tutors perceive the experience as much more professional and credible.
