Welcome! Ultra Soundbytes is a monthly series in which Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) was highly valuable in the diagnosis, treatment, or changing the management of a patient’s care in the emergency department. These are short “byte” sized case presentations with high yield POCUS images and teaching points designed to pack a learning punch.

The presentations are peer reviewed by our ultrasound faculty, presented during monthly ultrasound didactic sessions and posted here as well. So, grab a beverage of you choosing and get an Ultra Soundbyte in.
Each presentation is no more than 10 slides, can be completed in 10 minutes or less and follows the format:
  • Learning objectives
  • Case presentation
  • Image Review and Critique:
  • Diagnosis and Disposition
  • Literature Review
  • Takeaway points
