BSW Salvation Army TableAugusta University offers many extracurricular activities tailored for Social Sciences students!

While students majoring and minoring in specific majors who meet specific requirements are invited to join the department sponsored honor societies, the discipline clubs are open to all students. Students interested in helping others and learning about careers in political science, criminal justice, sociology, social work are welcome to join our student-led student clubs. The clubs partake in a number of service projects and have been known to take trips to Washington, D.C. and invite speakers of interest to campus.

Clubs & Honor Societies

Alpha Kappa Delta

The purpose of the Alpha Kappa Delta honor society is to promote scholarship, but the focus has always been fellowship for students, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.Alpha Kappa Delta

Alpha Phi Sigma

Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice Majors. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate students of criminal justice, as well as juris doctorate.

The Social Work Club is the BSW Program student organization acknowledged and funded by the Office of Student Life and Engagement at Augusta University.
