Enrichment Phase Patient-Centered Learning

Purpose:

Provide structured patient-centered experiences to assess & promote clinical professional advancement, in order that each student will be fully clinically prepared for residency. This course is a requirement for graduation.

Details:

While in the simulated environment, the Student Doctor will function as the primary decision maker and be able to practice and perfect previously taught skills. There will be two patient simulation cases, within a single session. Expect to attend two hours. Throughout the year, there will be three events scheduled. (Beginning in June, September and February.)

Plan for the day:

Please come prepared with white coat, stethoscope, smart phone, and laptop. It is important to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the case for orientation. Each case will include prebrief, 20 minute case, and debrief. Post simulation, you will be asked to  give feedback using a short qualtrics survey. There will be no end of session wrap up. You will be free to leave after the second case debrief.

Sign-up:

Using your assigned campus, use the link below to choose the session most convenient for your schedule. Should a change need to be made, please contact Yuli Rodriguez at yrodriguez@augusta.edu.
