Dr. Michelle Kraslow is originally from Miami and trained at the University of Florida
for her undergraduate and medical education. She completed her internal medicine residency
at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Having confirmed her
dislike of cold weather, she returned to the Southeast where she is closer to family
and joined the Division of Hospital Medicine Faculty at AU/WMCG in 2021.
As a hospitalist, she enjoys working with learners in an academic environment and
seeing them grow into confident, independent physicians. Likewise, she looks forward
to stepping into her new role as an Associate Program Director and chair of the Clinical
Competency Committee (CCC) within the Internal Medicine Residency Program. It is also
important to her that patients feel heard, understand their disease processes, and
know what steps can be taken to improve their health. Besides direct patient care,
she works with various hospital efforts to promote efficiency and ensure the accuracy
of medication reconciliations.
When she is not working, Dr. Kraslow enjoys spending time with her husband and two
dogs. She enjoys pretty much anything outside and currently plays recreational volleyball
but will also entertain her husband's interest in her learning to golf. She enjoys
visiting nearby family, especially her niece and nephew in North Carolina. For those
who have not met her yet, be forewarned she will never shy away from promoting her
University of Florida roots (Go Gators!).
