Dermatology 5001

 

Location: Augusta University Hospital and Clinics
Charlie Norwood VAMC Dermatology Clinic
Prerequisites: None
Duration: One Month
Months offered: July through June

Goals/Objectives/Activities

Students will see patients at the Augusta University Hospital and Clinics as well as in the Charlie Norwood VAMC Dermatology Clinic. Students will participate in Dermatopathology teaching conferences, Morphology conferences, Grand Rounds, Basic Science teaching conferences, and Journal Club. Supervision will be provided by the dermatology faculty and residents.

Dermatology 5002 - Off Campus Dermatology

 

Location: Off Campus
Prerequisite: DERM 5001
Off campus electives may be arranged with prior approval of Medical Student Director, Loretta S. Davis, MD.

This course requires an application through VSLO or other arrangements made by the student.  An Off Campus Elective Form is required.

Dermatology 5003 - Advanced Dermatology

 

Location: Augusta University Hospital and Clinics
Charlie Norwood VAMC Dermatology Clinic
Prerequisites: DERM 5001
Duration: One Month

Months offered: By special arrangement

Goals/Objectives/Activities
The goals/objectives/activities for this elective are the same as DERM 5001. However, students will be given more opportunity to participate in dermatology research and scholarly activities.
