Supplier Diversity Initiative

Local, Small And Minority Business Outreach

Our mission is to provide equal access to procurement opportunities for local, small and minority-owned enterprises (MBEs).  In addition, Augusta University encourages majority suppliers to support minority-owned firms through supplier development assistance, subcontracting opportunities, mentoring and/or the purchase of products from MBE sources.  We are committed to ensuring that our supplier diversity initiative strengthens the local, small and minority businesses that are critical to the future of our business and the community we serve. We value diversity. It's good for business. It's good for all of us.

  • Augusta University actively seeks diversity within the business community and provides equal opportunity for all companies that wish to do Doing Business with Us.
  • Diversity among our suppliers and vendors affords us - and the community we serve - superior products at competitive pricing.
  • Seeking to establish a diverse, local, small, minority business program to identify commercial enterprises that have the potential to provide needed services and commodities for our education, research, and clinical operations.
  • Each year the Supply Management, Purchasing Office is involved in a number of outreach activities with minority and small businesses.  Suppliers and Augusta University employees use this time to network and build strong relationships in order to establish strategic business practices for our mutual benefit and for the good of the community.
  • Please contact our Purchasing Department to learn more about this program
