Collegiate Panhellenic Council

Augusta University’s Collegiate Panhellenic Council is the governing body for all three National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities on campus.

Once a woman joins a sorority, she becomes a member of Panhellenic. Panhellenic is a way to unite women regardless of their affiliation. Each sorority has a delegate that is the liaison between their sorority and the Panhellenic council. The council is led by six executive members and their advisors who oversee all programs. The Panhellenic Council works together to make sure the Greek community has a positive influence in the community.

At Augusta University, our core values are scholarship, leadership, service and friendship. The Panhellenic council works hard to hold each sorority to the highest standards while helping them hold up their values. Panhellenic provides activities and honors, such as Panhellenic women of the month, social events and the month of scholars. Panhellenic also host programs in areas such as diversity, safety, consent, risk management, and new member education. The Council also organizes and oversees recruitment.

Formal Recruitment

How to Join

Recruitment is a time for prospective new members to investigate the Greek community. Participating in recruitment will expose you to the wealth of opportunities waiting for you in one of our organizations. Each organization was founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service, and lifelong friendships.

Continuous Open Bidding (COB) is offered by the Panhellenic Council for the remainder of the academic year. You can express your interest in COB by reaching out to the council and chapters.

Who are the Rho Gammas?

Rho Gammas, or recruitment guides, play a key role in the Formal Panhellenic Recruitment Process at Augusta University. Rho Gammas choose to step away from the recruitment of their own sorority in order to assist in the recruitment of Potential New Members (PNMs).

Rho Gammas work to provide Potential New Members with an unbiased opinion and recruitment experience. Although Rho Gammas no longer are required to disaffiliate completely from their organization, the Rho Gammas will be revealed to the PNMs on Bid Day when they "reunite" with their chapters.

The Rho Gammas will be working hard all summer to plan a fun-filled week for you during Recruitment -- they all look forward to meeting you!
