Frequently Asked Parking Questions

Parking Services supports our students, faculty, staff, and guests with a commitment grounded in Augusta University’s core values of collegiality, compassion, excellence, inclusivity, integrity, and leadership. Parking on campus can occasionally present challenges, and we appreciate the collaborative spirit our campus community brings to creating a smooth, respectful, and efficient parking experience. Your partnership helps everyone navigate campus safely and confidently.

Please review the following questions to gain a clearer understanding of how Parking Services operates. If you need additional assistance, contact us at parkingoffice@augusta.edu.

Yes. All vehicles except patients and guests of patients need a permit to park at on any Augusta University campus.

You should be logging in to the Parking Management Portal using your JagID and password (what you use to log in to email). If you are unable to log in, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk at 706-721-4000.
To request a reserved parking permit please submit a request in the AU Parking Portal. High demand lots have a waitlist. Individuals may check their existing waitlist status in the AU Parking Portal.
Reserved parking permits have a 12-month commitment. Please contact Parking Services by email or call 706-721-PARK to inquire about your parking permit status.
No, once a reserved space has been assigned to you, Parking Services will not "swap" spaces based on availability. If you move offices and wish to relocate your reserved space to a different lot closer to your new work location, please email us and we will evaluate your request on a case-by-case basis.
Parking permit revenue is used to build new parking facilities, maintain existing lots and to provide support for staff and enforcement.
All students, faculty, and staff who park on campus for any reason between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays require an active permit.
Cones or other traffic control devices may be placed in a space when a special event is taking place, maintenance is planned, or when a hazard exists. Please do not move the cones without authorization. $50.00 fine may be issued for moving cones without authorization.
No. Students, faculty and staff should park in a non-reserved space near the Dental College of Georgia, College of Nursing, or the Shepeard Building (Sickle Cell) clinics.

To request special event parking, please send an email to parkingoffice@augusta.edu. Please note that these requests are typically invoiced to the hosting department.
