Students who have been place on Augusta University’s on-campus housing waitlist can view their waitlist placement by following these steps:

1. Login into the Housing Portal.
2. Once logged in, select “Requests.”
3. Then, it will say “Select Your Requests.” Use the drop-down menu and select “Upperclassmen Waitlist.”
4. For there, click “continue” until you get all the way to the “Waitlist Status” page.
5. On the final page, you will see you name and placement number.

Augusta University’s on-campus housing is now at full capacity for the 2025-2026 academic year. We accepted a large freshmen intake this academic year with not enough beds to fully place all students in on-campus housing. As a result, some students low on the on-campus waitlist must seek alternative accommodations.  

Students are encouraged to seek out off-campus housing by renting or leasing an apartment or house within the Augusta area. We have resources at the ready to make this process much easier. We encourage you to take advantage of roommates to lower or split costs.  

For the 2025-2026 academic year, students who are the on-campus housing waitlist should first refer to the waitlist placement number. If your waitlist number is below 25, then you will likely be assigned on-campus housing by July 15. If your waitlist is above 25, then you will likely not be assigned housing and will have to look into alternative options. We advise all students on the waitlist to explore off-campus housing options to ensure a smooth transition 2025-2026 academic year.

Students can access Augusta University’s Off-Campus Marketplace which provides alternative housing options, a roommate search, amenities, resources on public transit and transportation, and renter education.

Below are additional housing options for students to explore, which are not listed on the AU Off-Campus Marketplace.  We encourage students to ask about monthly student specials at each location.

We suggest students utilize their Financial Aid refund to put towards housing. 

A financial aid refund is any aid money you have beyond what your school bills you for tuition, fees, and other costs required to attend the school. These leftover financial aid funds are paid out to you within a few weeks of the start of classes. 

Additionally, Augusta University provides a great student-work program that help supplement a student's income.

No, Augusta University honors one-year housing contracts for both the Fall and Spring semester. So, you will only be able to apply for on-campus housing for the following academic year once those housing applications open at end of this upcoming Fall 2025 semester. 

Students that do not have their own mode of transportation that are searching for off-campus housing are recommended to carpool and search for roommates with their own vehicles. Additionally, the City of Augusta also provides public transit throughout the city. Once the student is on campus, they can take advantage of AU’s free shuttle service, JagExpress.
