Non-AU personnel who are assigned to work at a campus location may be required to obtain an AU Contractor JagCard identification badge.

This applies to employees of AU Suppliers (contractors, vendors, etc.) who provide goods and services on a routine basis or who are assigned to a multi-day project at Augusta University.

Those who visit campus infrequently may be escorted by an authorized AU employee or obtain a temporary identification badge.

How to request a contractor badge

  1. Download the contractor badge request form and complete one for each employee.
  2. An authorized representative of the organization that employs the individual must sign the form certifying that the individual meets AU background check requirements.
  3. An authorized AU employee must sign the form and submit it to to initiate the badge request.
  4. AU Police will verify that the form has been properly completed and authorized by the AU department/unit and the supplier before notifying the authorized representative identified in the “Supplier Information & Background Check Certification” section of the form that their employee is cleared.
  5. When the contractor receives notification from AUPD ( that they are "AU cleared", the individual can then proceed to the Badging (JagCard) office with a state issued identification card to be issued their AU Badge (JagCard). We are located at Washington Hall, 2500 Walton Way (inside The Roar Store Campus Store). Cleared individuals may visit the office any time between 8 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
