Mini Refrigerators

Personal compact refrigerators with freezer units are permitted and must meet the following specifications. Only one is allowed per bedroom.

  • Maximum 3.4 cubic foot total capacity freezer/refrigerator
  • ENERGY STAR rated
  • Have only ONE plug that is directly plugged into the wall

Microwaves

Personal microwaves are permitted in resident rooms, but due to the potential for overloading power in resident rooms/suites, floors, and buildings only ONE can be placed per room and must be a maximum of 1000 watts.

Things NOT to bring

Some items on this list are specifically prohibited by law and/or University policy. Please note that students found with these and/or other prohibited items in their room or apartment will at least be asked to remove the item and may be subject to student conduct action. U-hauls are prohibited during the move-in process. Some items prohibited by law may be subject to immediate confiscation by university officials.
