Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Kinesiology, an undergraduate degree in Sports Management, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Sports Coaching. We provide a dynamic and comprehensive path to success, whether you're interested in physical therapy, occupational therapy, the medical profession, athletic training, nutrition, sports management, or a range of other health and wellness professions. As the College of Education and Human Development's largest department, we offer a supportive and engaging environment for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Kinesiology Research Day

Calling all aspiring kinesiology professionals!  Join us for the 6th Annual Kinesiology Research Day (KRD) on March 14th at the Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC). This one-day conference is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the latest research and advancements in the field. Hear from leading experts like Dr. John Kindred, a Research Health Science Specialist focusing on neurological conditions and fatigue, and Dr. Marc Lewis, Director of Applied Sports Science for the Houston Texans, who will share their insights on exercise physiology and human performance.  KRD is perfect for anyone interested in exercise science, sport psychology, nutrition, community health, biomechanics, physical/occupational therapy, athletic training, and medicine.  Engage with fellow students, faculty, and professionals, and discover the exciting possibilities within kinesiology.
