Mr. Jarrell received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia where he had the privilege of studying with Dr. Kenneth Fischer. He received a Masters Degree in Music Education from Troy State University having the honor of working with both Dr. John Long and Mr. Robert W. Smith. Mr. Jarrell continued his education by earning a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Augusta State University and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University.

M. Jarrell’s thirty(+) year career included Band Director positions at East Augusta Middle School, Westside High School, and Lakeside High School. He severed as Assistant Principal at Greenbrier Middle School, Principal at Riverside Elementary School and Assistant Superintendent for the Columbia County School System.

Mr. Jarrell continues to be active as a musician in the Augusta area performing with the Savannah River Winds, the Augusta Concert Band, the Augusta Players and Fort Eisenhower Dinner Theatre.
