
The Augusta University Jazz Studies Program is led Wycliffe Gordon, Musical ambassador and interpreter of “America’s” music, and one of the world’s most renowned and award-winning jazz trombonists touring today. His signature sound and mastery of the plunger mute have helped solidify his impressive musical career.
Gordon's students have the opportunity to work and perform with famed jazz musicians from around the world including jazz greats such as Charles McPherson, Herlin Riley, David Sanchez, Houston Person, Jimmy Heath, Jay Leonhart, Andrea Brachfield and Branford Marsalis, to name a few.
