The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, is seeking applications for open-rank faculty positions at the assistant/associate/full professor level to join a rapidly growing department and a highly interactive neuroscience community.
Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Preference will be given to candidates whose expertise complements and synergizes with the strengths of the department, particularly in areas such as neurodegenerative disease, inflammaging, stress neurobiology, and stem cell research. Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain a competitive extramurally funded research program. The rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine is home to the Transgenic and Genome Editing Core, the Viral Vector Core, and a state-of-the-art microscopic facility. This facility includes multiphoton confocal microscopes, an N-STORM super-resolution microscope, a light-sheet microscope, imaging flow cytometry, and a slide scanner. Our department faculty members also have access to University research core facilities specializing in electron microscopy, cell and tissue imaging, small animal behavior and imaging, genomics and proteomics, and bioinformatics.
