Historic Investment
Governor Brian Kemp and state leaders have committed $178 Million for the new Savannah campus expansion, marking the largest single investment in oral health in Georgia's history. The expansion will enable the college to train 50 additional dentists and 20 more dental hygienists each year.
This investment is about far more than a new educational site. It is an investment in healthier communities, a stronger healthcare workforce, and greater access to high-quality dental care across Coastal Georgia and beyond. By expanding educational opportunities and increasing the number of practicing dentists, DCG Savannah will help ensure that every Georgian, regardless of ZIP code, has access to the oral healthcare they deserve, creating a lasting impact for generations to come.

Philanthropy Targets
Scholarships impact DCG students today, tomorrow and forever. Despite one of the lowest tuition rates in the country, the four-year in-state cost for a DMD is ~$170,000.
Endowed faculty support exists to recruit and retain the best educators and leaders in dental medicine and oral surgery.
Digital tools do not replace traditional dentistry; they amplify it, revolutionizing clinician education while enabling precise diagnosis, predictive planning and patient-centered care.
Funds are needed for student research, travel, wellness initiatives and other programs to provide the most enriching education possible at DCG Savannah.
Why Savannah?
Savannah is central to Georgia's oral health future. Nearly 20% of DCG patients already travel from the Savannah region for care, and outside Atlanta, the I-16 corridor to Savannah is one of the fastest-growing areas in the state. With a metro population of over 400,000 and 1.5% annual growth projected, driven in part by the Hyundai Metaplant, Savannah offers the patient base, infrastructure, and community to support dental education and launch graduates' careers.
