Accepted Student Checklist

CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT. Let us know you’re planning to attend and secure your seat! You can complete your Acceptance Agreement and submit any fees applicable to your student type in your application portal. (confirmation fees are nonrefundable)

ACTIVATE YOUR AU ACCOUNT & REGISTER FOR DUO. New students must activate their AU account by following the steps at augusta.edu/it/account. These credentials will help you access your AU email and POUNCE and are different from your application portal login.

COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE WELCOME. This form is located at jagnow.augusta.edu.

REGISTER & PAY FOR JAGUAR NATION ORIENTATION. Pick the day you will come to Augusta and meet faculty, staff, and other future Jags to prepare you for life as a Jag.

COMPLETE YOUR ENROLLMENT SURVEY. Let us know a little bit more about your plans, can find the enrollment survey in your admissions status portal.

START THE COURSE ADVISING PROCESS. Check the admissions status portal for your next advising step.

COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA. New Jags should submit the FAFSA at studentaid.gov to be considered for federal and state aid. 

CONFIRM YOUR HOUSING PLANS. All new Jags are encouraged to apply for on-campus housing in an AU residence hall. You can learn more at augusta.edu/housing. If you’re not planning to live on campus, you can review off-campus options.

SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. Submit all documents required for enrolling at AU. This includes your immunizations form and your verification of lawful presence. You can learn more on your application portal. Note that some students will have additional requirements.

ACCESS YOUR AU EMAIL. Use your newly created AU credentials to monitor your Augusta email at email.augusta.edu. Use this email to communicate with all AU offices (such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, or your faculty advisor). You will need to check this account regularly for updates.

SIGN UP FOR ZEEMEE. Go tohttps://www.zeemee.com/and create an account with Zeemee and to connect with Augusta University! This is a way to meet other New Jags with similar interests and start building your community—all before you even get to campus!

PREPARE FOR ORIENTATION. Prior to attending orientation, you’ll want to review all confirmation communication, request any accommodations.

REVIEW YOUR SCHEDULE AND BILL IN POUNCE. You can check your registered courses in POUNCE. Contact your assigned advisor about making any schedule changes. (For students with 60+ hours, this will be your advisor in your academic major.)

SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS. High school transcripts must show date of graduation, and college transcripts must have all final grades and show no pre-registrations for future semesters.

SUBMIT ANY AP, IB, OR DUAL ENROLLED CREDITS.

REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE. Students must register their current vehicle with the Parking Office for permission to park on campus. Find parking registration.

REVIEW TEXTBOOK OPTIONS.

HEALTH INSURANCE. Some students are required to obtain annual comprehensive health coverage. Contact the Student Health Services 706.721.3448 or studentinsurance@augusta.edu.

SATISFY YOUR BILL. Make sure you’ve satisfied your student bill before classes start. This includes finalizing any financial aid, setting up a Nelnet payment plan, or confirming any tuition resources (such as military benefits).

ATTEND FRESHMAN CONVOCATION AND WEEKS OF WELCOME. This final step for all incoming students will strengthen your connections to the community and help you set and achieve your academic goals. And the bookend to senior graduation, convocation welcomes the new class of freshmen to Augusta University.
