Accepted Student Checklist

Welcome to Jag Nation!

To ensure a smooth transition to Augusta University, review the following checklist carefully. Additional information is in your Admissions Portal. Questions should be directed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (706) 737-1632 or admissions@augusta.edu.

After Acceptance

  • CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT. Let us know you’re planning to attend and secure your seat! Complete your Acceptance Agreement and submit your non-refundable Enrollment Deposit in your Admissions Portal.

  • ACTIVATE YOUR AU ACCOUNT. Follow the step-by-step account activation instructions to set up your primary AU student credentials. These login details grant you access to My.Augusta.edu, your central student dashboard for POUNCE and email, and are completely separate from your initial Admissions Portal login. To maintain uninterrupted access to all campus networks and systems, you must complete your Duo two-factor authentication enrollment immediately following activation.
  • COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal and state aid. This must be completed to receive a financial aid package at AU.

  • COMPLETE YOUR ENROLLMENT SURVEY. Help us learn more about you by completing this survey linked within your Admissions Portal.

  • CONFIRM YOUR HOUSING PLANS. All new Jags are encouraged to apply for on-campus housing in a residence hall. If you’re not planning to live on campus, you can review off-campus options.

  • REGISTER & PAY FOR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION. Visit your Admissions Portal to pick the day you will visit campus this summer to meet faculty, staff, and fellow future Jags. You’ll get final questions answered and ensure you are ready to succeed at AU!

  • SIGN UP FOR ZEEMEE. Visit ZeeMee and create an account and connect with Augusta University. This is a great way to meet other new Jags with similar interests. Start building your community before you even get to campus!

  • COMPLETE YOUR NEW JAG SURVEY. This critical survey will help your Academic Advisor build your course schedule for your first semester at AU. Completion is required to receive a schedule. (Available in March for Summer/Fall 2026 students.)

Before New Student Orientation

  • COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE WELCOME. Spend time in your virtual orientation session to learn information that is critical to your success at AU. Linked in your Admissions Portal, you’ll need to complete these online modules before attending your orientation session. (Available in March for Summer/Fall 2026 students.)
  • SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. Be sure to send in all documents required for enrolling at AU including immunizations records and verification of lawful presence. Learn more in your Admissions Portal. Note that some students will have additional requirements. Note: Some students will have additional requirements.
  • ACCESS YOUR AU EMAIL. Log into my.augusta.edu using your newly created credentials. This portal is your primary hub for all essential student information, including registration, financial updates, and quick access to your official student email. Because email is the university's official channel for critical updates, make sure to check your account regularly via the dashboard link. Use your newly created AU credentials to monitor your Augusta.edu email. Email is the official means of communication with AU offices, so you’ll need to check this account regularly for updates.
  • GET YOUR JAGCARD. Send in a headshot for your JagCard so it is ready for you at Orientation.
  • PREPARE FOR ORIENTATION. Be sure to review any pre-Orientation emails carefully and plan for your travel and accommodations (if needed).

After New Student Orientation

  • REVIEW YOUR SCHEDULE AND BILL IN POUNCE. Check your course schedule as well as your student account balance in POUNCE. Contact your Academic Advisor if you want to make schedule changes. Remember that your student account should be paid in full prior to the first day of classes.
  • SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS. High school transcripts must show your date of graduation, and college transcripts must have all final grades with no registration for future semesters. These must be received prior to the first day of classes.
  • SUBMIT ANY AP, IB, OR DUAL ENROLLMENT TRANSCRIPTS. Official score reports are required to award credit by examination. If you took dual enrollment courses, please request official college transcripts directly from the institution where the classes were taken. Credit cannot be awarded based on high school transcripts alone.
  • REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE. Be sure to register your current vehicle through the Parking Portal prior to arriving on campus. Review parking maps, permits, and campus regulations before your first day.
  • SATISFY YOUR BILL. Ensure your student account balance is settled before the start of the semester. This includes finalizing any pending financial aid, setting up an automatic Nelnet payment plan, or confirming external tuition resources, such as military and veteran benefits.
  • ATTEND LEAP WEEK EVENTS & FRESHMAN CONVOCATION. The days leading up to fall classes are packed with interactive events and campus activities. Keep an eye out for the official LEAP Week schedule release. Freshman Convocation, the official academic bookend to your future Commencement, takes place the day before classes begin. This institutional tradition is one you won't want to miss!
