If your event involves more than 100 people, animals, special speakers, or guests requiring the Special Events Group's attention, please fill out the form below. For internal departmental, student organization, or academic events, please visit ems.augusta.edu to reserve the necessary space.
Unscheduled use of classroom space
Augusta University has multiple classrooms with instructional technology installed as a permanent fixture. This equipment should not be used without prior permission. Using an empty room to conduct an ad hoc meeting or class is prohibited and potentially disruptive to groups that may have classes or events already scheduled in the room.

Who can book a space?
Per enterprise policy, faculty, staff, and student organization leadership can reserve space. Some spaces can be booked by external entities at an additional cost.
How to request an EMS account
Please fill out an EMS Account Request Form and fill out the information. If you meet the requirements, you will receive an email from Classroom Scheduling stating that your account has been created. Please note that it can take up to 72 hours to create your account. Do not try to get your account created a day before you try to schedule an event.
How do I book a space?
Log into EMS with your AU NetID. To view detailed facility and room information, go to Browse, and then Locations. If you have any issues or questions, please email us at classroomscheduling@augusta.edu. We are also happy to assist you with a quick walk-through of some of the equipment and services available.
How do I make a change to my event?
You can change your event up to 72 hours before the event.
Go to the EMS site, login, and click on My Events. Select the event's name. Go to Reservation Tasks, and you can add services if you need audiovisual equipment. Select the Equipment dropdown, select the service/equipment you need, and click Next Step. Select the box by the event and click on the Add Services blue button.
If you need to adjust the date or time of your event, access the Booking Tools section. From there, select the new date and time that suits your needs. Once you have selected it, click Update Bookings to finalize the changes.
If you need to cancel the event, click on Cancel Booking.
If you are within the 72 hours window, please email us at classroomscheduling@augusta.edu. Please keep in mind this is ONLY for events not classrooms scheduling.
Late requests for audiovisual support or equipment usage
Requests for support that are made with less than twenty-four business hours’ notice (excluding weekends and holidays) will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Short notice requests will be fit into the schedule, as workload permits, with priority given to previously scheduled classes and events.
