DISCOVER
Our makerspace empowers students and faculty to explore, build, and collaborate. The environment is fully equipped and adaptable to support a wide range of hands-on and digital projects. Whether you're prototyping physical designs, developing software, or blending the two, you'll find the tools, resources, and guidance you need. We provide fabrication services, modeling capabilities, and technical support to help bring ideas to life across disciplines.
We collaborate with faculty members willing to do a lunch and learn for a hands-on workshop in exchange, they can bring their class to the makerspace or to workshops. This allows for the community to experience some of our faculty’s unique expertise or advice.
Members enjoy access to our makerspace during our open hours, one on one mentorship sessions with our makerspace team, and monthly workshops. This program allows us to foster a sense of community and long-term engagement with the organization.
This program allows us to work with community partners for donations of materials to provide students access to resources for projects within the makerspace. Contact us to schedule a pickup.
This program invites individuals to contribute their time and skills to support various initiatives. Volunteers gain experience, networking opportunities, and personal fulfillment, with training and recognition provided.
The Rapid Prototype Certificate is a three-tier, hands-on learning path delivered with The Garage Makerspace team. It begins with a beginner-level introduction to 3D printing, where participants get familiar with tools, materials, and fundamental workflows. At the intermediate level, learners choose a specialization, diving into either CAD design or organic 3D modeling to shape digital concepts with precision or creative freedom. The program culminates in an advanced mold-making workshop, giving participants the skills to translate their designs into durable, production-ready forms and complete the full prototype development cycle.
The Garage Makerspace consists of four separate areas: messy prototyping zone, classroom space, a collaboration zone, and electronics zone.
