Whether you’re an undergrad or graduate student, Augusta University offers opportunities to create your own research project or work with faculty to tackle some of the world’s most complex and pressing challenges.
Internships provide valuable experience observing and practicing the essential skills of a health and fitness professional in a real world setting.
The Nutrition, Exercise, and Stress Lab provides the latest equipment to evaluate diet and examine the effects of supplements and other aspects of health.
The home of the Kinesiology department as well as Augusta University Athletics, Christenberry Fieldhouse allows students to meet and study in the dynamic center of the university’s sports science world.
Your Future
With a Health Promotion degree, you’ll be able to work as a personal or group trainer or as a Health Education Specialist.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for both fitness trainers and Health Education Specialists is expected to be much higher than average over the next decade.

“My approach to counseling is I'll show up exactly as myself – someone clients can hopefully trust, respect and know that I will return that favor,” says Meredith Rausch, PhD.
