What You'll Study

Coursework

In the Health Promotion program, you’ll take science and nutrition classes and then move into courses built around your chosen concentration — health education and assessment classes for the Health Education concentration; exercise, physiology and strength training for the Corporate and Community Wellness concentration.

The Nutrition, Exercise, and Stress Lab provides the latest equipment to evaluate diet and examine the effects of supplements and other aspects of health.

 

Christenberry Fieldhouse

The home of the Kinesiology department as well as Augusta University Athletics, Christenberry Fieldhouse allows students to meet and study in the dynamic center of the university’s sports science world.

Your Future

Career Options

With a Health Promotion degree, you’ll be able to work as a personal or group trainer or as a Health Education Specialist.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for both fitness trainers and Health Education Specialists is expected to be much higher than average through 2030.
