Augusta University Medical Center

Augusta University Health Medical Center (AUMC)

AU Health serves the state of Georgia and is the primary teaching & patient care site for the Department of Surgery. AU Health is a 520-bed tertiary hospital that provides many services not available in other facilities in the region. Specialized services include the region's best-equipped and busiest ACS verified Level I Trauma Center, serving patients from over 13 counties, & specialized transplantation for pancreas & kidney.

Augusta University Medical Office

Augusta University Health Medical Office Building (MOB)

The AU Medical Office Building houses 80 general and specialty-care clinics. In addition, various hospital administrative and physician offices are located here.

Children's Hospital of Georgia

Augusta University Health Children's Medical Center (CHOG)

CHOG is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment and research of pediatric and adolescent diseases. It draws patients from the southeastern United States who require specialized tertiary care. The only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Georgia, the Children's Medical Center has 157 beds and is the major teaching site for surgery residents.

Piedmont Hospital

Piedmont Hospital

Piedmonth Hospital is a non-profit, 581-bed, community hospital contiguous to the AU campus. An acute care facility, it serves a 25-county region in Georgia & South Carolina with specialties including a chest pain center and the only nationally accredited breast health center in the region. Together, AU and Piedmont have created a joint academic program in cardiovascular science to enhance research and training in that specialty.

Georgia Regents Cancer Center

Georgia Cancer Center

GCC is a 57,000-square-foot outpatient facility where a multidisciplinary team of key cancer specialists takes a holistic approach to care using the most advanced treatments in the region. Designed by patients for patients, the center is the area's only dedicated outpatient adult cancer treatment center. It features 30 exam rooms, 30 chemotherapy infusion stations overlooking a garden, six private treatment rooms and on-site pharmacy. 

Augusta University Cancer Center

AU Health Cancer Research Center (Storey Building)

The Cancer Research Center is a five-story, 167,000-square-foot complex devoted to reducing cancer morbidity and mortality through the application of laboratory and clinical research discoveries. 

AU VA medical center

Veteran's Affairs Medical Center (Downtown)

The Augusta VA Medical Center is affiliated with AU and is a major,155-bed facility for veterans in a primary service area that includes 17 counties in Georgia, seven counties in South Carolina and members of the Atlanta Veterans Integrated Service Network, many who live as far away as Alabama. Staff surgeons at the VA Medical Center also hold academic appointments at AU Health. 

Augusta University Cancer Research Facility

AU Health Interdisciplinary Research Facility

The Interdisciplinary Research Building, a 94,000-square-foot structure, houses the researchers, laboratories and equipment that are helping to advance research in areas including diabetes, hypertension, biotechnology and genomic medicine.
