Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

The Section of Plastic Surgery strives to be a premier plastic surgical service at the regional, national and international levels, with excellence in education, patient care and research. Our core missions are providing the best possible clinical care in all aspects of plastic surgery and engaging in and producing high impact clinical and basic science research to advance plastic surgery.

We are the largest plastic surgery group in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), with well-developed programs in pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, microsurgery and general reconstructive surgery, hand and peripheral nerve surgery, and a full spectrum of cosmetic surgery. Our Craniofacial Center holds multidisciplinary clinics with fellowship-trained craniofacial surgeons, pediatric otolaryngologists, orthodontists, pedodontists and speech therapists twice a month to diagnose and treat infants and children with congenital and acquired head and neck deformities such as craniosynostosis, deformational plagiocephaly, cleft lip, cleft palate, hemifacial microsomia, vascular abnormalities, dermoid and neoplastic lesions.
