Dr. Christopher M. Johnson joined the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department at Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University as an Associate Professor and a Laryngologist in the Center for Voice, Airway and Swallowing Disorders in 2022. Prior to joining the MCG faculty, he served as an active-duty Otolaryngologist in the U.S. Navy, where he dedicated his career to caring for military patients with complex voice, airway and swallowing disorders. In this role he served as Residency Program Director and Head of the Section of Laryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology at Naval Medical Center-San Diego, CA and held a faculty appointment as Associate Professor of Surgery, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Johnson graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA in 2007. Following that he completed Otolaryngology residency at Naval Medical Center-San Diego, then completed a two-year combined clinical and research fellowship in Laryngology at Medical College of Georgia.
