Dr. Mohanty joined the Section of General Internal Medicine in 2011. She is a graduate
of Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia and Mercer University School of Medicine. Thereafter,
she completed residency in Internal Medicine at Augusta University.
Dr. Mohanty works as part of the Internal Medicine Faculty Practice group to provide
outpatient care. She is an attending physician in the Internal Medicine Resident
Continuity clinic and on the inpatient care teams. Through her clinical duties, she
is involved with resident and medical student education. She teaches first and second
year medical students in the Physical Diagnosis component of Essentials of Clinical
Medicine and serves as an advisor for these students.
Dr. Mohanty was recently appointed as Co-Director of the Medicine Practice Site in
the Ambulatory Care Center. She is a member of the American College of Physicians,
the American Geriatrics Society, and Society of General Internal Medicine.
