The Office of Government Relations works with local, state and federal officials to advocate for the interests and needs of Augusta University and its community. We build and maintain strategic relationships with government stakeholders and inform them about our institutional goals and imperatives. We also monitor and analyze legislation and policy that affect our academic, research and health care missions.

"I appreciate our academic affairs team and their rapid and thoughtful response to make these additions to our curriculum," says MCG Dean David Hess, MD.

"He understands that investing in medical education, research, and physician training is ultimately an investment in the health of every Georgian," says David Hess, MD.

"Augusta University is exceptionally well represented at the State Capitol by the Office of Government Relations," AU President Russell T. Keen said.

"This program is a prime example of turning those strengths into opportunities, giving students the chance to bring classroom learning into the real world through paid, meaningful internships right here on campus," says Russell T. Keen.
