Bio

I taught for Seikei University in Tokyo, Japan, for Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, and for Johns Hopkins University in Nanjing, China. My research focuses on the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policy. I developed new technique which eliminates the influence of unknown, unmeasurable, and omitted variables when conducting regression analysis.

Teaching Interests

I primarily teach introduction and intermediate Macroeconomics. I have also taught courses in economic development, international economics, China's economy and politics, political economy, introduction to microeconomics, and secularity versus world religions.

Research Interests

I have developed a solution to the omitted variables problem of regression analysis and have used it to analyze (1) the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policies in Thailand, China, Japan, and the USA, (2) how US fiscal and monetary policies affect South Korea and Australia, (3) the Feldstein-Horioka puzzle, (4) pollution abatement in Thailand, (5) the effects of imports on unemployment in the USA, and (6) the effects of insurance on life expectancy.
