Dr. Marin's primary program of research focuses on evaluating diagnostic strategies to identify risk factors for ischemic disease in premature infants using near infrared spectroscopy technology

Research Interests

Dr. Marin's current work focuses on identification of risk factors for early onset acute kidney injury in premature infants. Using the novel technology of near-infrared technology, variations in kidney oxygenation that precede conventional serum biomarkers indicative of AKI can be identified.
