Teaching Interests

I offer courses designed for our Ph.D. program in Intelligence, Defense, and Cybersecurity Policy, including (but not limited to) cybersecurity, AI, digital surveillance and control, social media intelligence, the psychology of cyberspace, and counterterrorism.

Research Interests

My research interests include technology, political violence, security, authoritarianism, and civil resistance. More specifically, I examine the implications of AI-powered surveillance both domestically and transnationally, the use of online platforms to resist state repression, and the effects of emerging technologies on various dimensions of collective action.
