Bio

Dr. Sharma graduated in Medicine from J.L. Nehru Medical College, Aligarh, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Radiology in India. On arrival to the USA, he underwent Internal Medicine residency at SUNY at Buffalo, NY. Thereafter Dr. Sharma joined the Internal Medicine faculty at University of Kansas, School of Medicine in Wichita in 1997 before coming to Medical College of Georgia for a fellowship in Cardiology. Dr. Sharma served as chief fellow and joined the faculty in 2003. He went to Royal Brompton Hospital, London in 2004 for training in Cardiovascular MRI. He is board certified in adult Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Computed Technology. Dr. Sharma's clinical and research interests include cardiac imaging, outcome research, valvular heart disease, pulmonary embolism and preventive Cardiology.
