Bio

Dr. Numfor earned his Ph.D. in mathematics (with a concentration in mathematical biology and ecology) from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville and his M.S. in mathematics from East Tennessee State University. His current research interests are: infectious disease modeling, immuno-epidemiological modeling, optimal control, and partial differential equations with applications to population and diseases.

Research Interests

My research interests lie at the interface of mathematics and biology, with a focus on bridging the gap between immunology and epidemiology (Immuno-epidemiological modeling). Other research interests are modeling and management strategies (optimal control) for the control of invasive species, and for the spread of water-borne, respiratory, and vector-borne diseases.
