Dr. Demian Jideofor Omeh is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University. He is a board-certified internist and academic nocturnist with a strong focus on graduate medical education, quality improvement, and patient safety in high-acuity inpatient settings. Dr. Omeh has held multiple leadership roles in residency education, including Program Director of a Transitional Year Program and Assistant Program Director of an Internal Medicine Residency Program, and is a two-time recipient of the Faculty of the Year Award. His scholarly work spans hospital medicine outcomes, cardiovascular medicine, health systems research, and medical education, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Certified Physician Advisor.
Teaching interests include inpatient medicine, bedside teaching, clinical reasoning, graduate medical education, systems-based practice, quality improvement, patient safety, and mentorship of residents and medical students.
Clinical and research interests include academic hospital medicine, nocturnal care models, cardiovascular medicine, patient safety, quality improvement, health systems science, and outcomes-based research.
