I was born and raised in the United States Virgin Islands on the island of St. John. I have a BS degree in Marine Biology and a MS in Environmental Science. My employment history spans over a range careers to include pedagogic teaching at the university, high school and elementary levels; NPS Park Ranger and Program Administrator; Fish & Wildlife Director; and Commissioner of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
I am very passionate about instructing undergraduate level lecture courses consisting of Biology 1101 Fundamental of Biology and Biology 1102 Environmental Biology and the accompanying biological Labs. I love to to teach because I take great pride in sharing my knowledge and expertise with my students. It is greatly rewarding to help students learn. My subject matter expertise is incorporated in environmental science, conservation biology, and marine biology. My teaching strategies include online digital assignments, and assessments platforms, research-based students' group presentations and interactions, and lecture-based slide presentations and discussions. I truly enjoy the hands on laboratory experiments and field trip activities that allow students to explore and learn about the natural environment.
