Teaching Interests

I teach in both the Department of Social Sciences and the Department of Communication. In Introduction to American Government, I help students connect course concepts to the issues and experiences that matter in their own lives as well as to current events. In Public Speaking, I support students as they develop the skills to write and deliver clear and confident presentations that serve them in college, in their careers and in their personal and civic lives. In Audiovisual Media Production, I guide students as they explore the power of visual storytelling and learn to create narratives that inform, inspire and connect with audiences. Across all my courses, I emphasize learning over grades and work to create a classroom environment where all students feel supported.
