Dr. Al Haj Ali brings a broad clinical scope and deep fellowship training to our academic and clinical missions. His interests include general otolaryngology, endocrine surgery, sleep disorders and surgery, as well as sinus and skull base disorders.
Originally from Damascus, Syria, Dr. Al Haj Ali earned his medical degree from Damascus University before completing his residency in Otolaryngology at Tishreen Hospital. Dr. Al Haj Ali completed a rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, under the direction of Dr. Peter Catalano. He subsequently completed an endocrine surgery fellowship here at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, under the direction of Dr. David Terris, further strengthening his expertise in complex thyroid and parathyroid disorders.
He most recently served as an attending otolaryngologist at Rivers Health in West Virginia. His diverse training background and dedication to comprehensive, patient-centered care will significantly enhance our department’s clinical and academic endeavors.
