Periodontics
The Department of Periodontics aspires to be recognized as one of the best programs in periodontics through outstanding educational programs, excellence in patient care and leading-edge research and scholarship. In view of these commitments, the Department of Periodontics affirms its determination:
- To provide outstanding educational programs in Periodontics to prepare dental professionals at the dental student program and postdoctoral levels and to offer lifelong learning opportunities for members of the profession.
- To provide high quality, state-of-the-art periodontal and dental implant treatment which includes oral health promotion and oral disease prevention and which encourages innovation in dental health care delivery to meet the changing dental health care needs of the people of Georgia.
- To conduct research in Periodontics, Oral Biology and Implantology that generates and applies biomedical knowledge and technology to oral health and disease and promotes the transfer of technology to the dental care delivery system.
Patient Care
We deliver state of the art implant and implant related surgeries, including hard and soft tissue augmentation procedures to ensure long term success. We also offer esthetic and plastic surgical procedures to enhance your smile and the final restorative outcome. Most recently, we have the ability to offer LANAP, a minimally invasive procedure to treat periodontal disease, to our patients. We offer an excellent service and long-term maintenance program, ensuring eminence in diagnostics and treatment - all in a caring and considerate manner.
