Undergraduate Admission Requirements

INFORMATION FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

  • Please submit an application first, then send all additional documents to us. (Do not send accompanying documents to us if you have not submitted an application first.)
  • Pay the $60 non-refundable application processing fee.
  • Please make sure that you submit your application and additional documents prior to the assigned application deadline. (Your application will be incomplete if you submit documents after the application deadline.)

Transcripts:

High school (secondary school) transcripts from each and every institution must be submitted for review. If your high school is outside of the United States and not accredited by a U.S. Regional Association of Colleges and Schools, we recommend (not required) that you use a "course-by-course" (not document-by-document) evaluation service to ensure that your transcript is evaluated properly.

These are the approved evaluation services:

  • Josef Silny & Associates, Inc.
  • World Education Services (WES)
  • Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE)

College transcripts from each institution attended during high school must be submitted for review. If you have attended college after high school graduation, you are not eligible to be a First-Year applicant and should submit a Transfer application. If your college is outside of the United States and not accredited by a U.S. Regional Association of Colleges and Schools, we require that you use an evaluation service that does a "course by course" evaluation to ensure that your transcript is evaluated properly (if you do not submit, your application will be incomplete).

Student Finances and Visas:

Prospective F-1 students must have the financial resources to live and study in the United States. This includes being able to cover the cost of tuition, books, living expenses and travel.  Proof of financial resources will be required as part of the I-20 application process.  Students can learn more about the Cost of Attendance at Augusta University here.

Students who plan to request an F-1 I-20 to enroll at AU must first confirm their acceptance to AU and then wait for an invitation to submit relevant documentation through the AU International case management system. Students must confirm their acceptance at least 90 days prior to the start of their intended semester to allow sufficient processing time for I-20 issuance, change of status filing and/or entry to the U.S. when necessary.

English Proficiency Requirement

In addition to meeting all other applicable requirements for admission, non-native speakers of English must demonstrate sufficient English language proficiency. This may be demonstrated by any of the following methods:
